Kindle Voyager, Worth the Upgrade?

I've owned over five generations Kindle each generation gets better and better in incremental ways.  The only Kindle that I did not try was the Kindle DX, not that I didn't want to but the price was high and I really had an iPad.

Right now the cheapest new Kindle voyage (with special offers and Wi-Fi only) is $200 and serves as the flagship e-book reader from Amazon. The next one down is the Kindle paper white also with special offers at $119.99.

Since I've tried both, I decided that the extra $80 for the Kindle voyage was not worth it. How do I know this? Well I want the Kindle voyage because it has the best technology, the same high resolution screen, and is slightly smaller. But after having used the Kindle paper white with the high resolution 300 ppi display exclusively for period of time, I asked myself, do I really miss the Kindle voyage?

The answer is no (for me). The size difference is fairly negligible as a book. The screen quality is almost identical and $80 is better spent on books, and the Kindle e-book reader covers come in more variety for the paper white than they do the voyage.

But if you have an extra $80 burning in your pocket, sure why not get the Kindle voyage?  One reason you may not of considered, the Kindle voyage is probably due for an update soon.
